The properties of 6061 aluminum alloy

1. 6061 is an Al-Mg-Si alloy with medium strength, good plasticity and excellent corrosion resistance. In particular, the tendency of stress-free corrosion cracking, it has excellent weldability, corrosion resistance and cold workability. It is a wide range of use, very promising alloy. It can be anodized and colored, and can also be painted with enamel, suitable for building decoration materials. It contains a small amount of Cu, so the strength is higher than 6063, but the quenching sensitivity is also higher than 6063, after extrusion can not achieve air quenching, need to re-solid solution treatment and quenching aging, in order to obtain higher strength.

2.6061 is above 205 MPa, the compressive yield strength is 55.2 MPa, the elastic coefficient is 68.9 GPa, the bending limit strength is 228 MPa, and the bending yield strength is 103 MPa.

3. 6061 is a high-quality aluminum alloy product produced by heat treatment pre-stretching processing.
