The materials of the LED light
1. Aluminum alloy
Aluminum alloy is the most commonly used
material in LED lighting manufacturing. The aluminum alloy just bought back is
in the form of aluminum ingots, and the objects that are pressed out after
putting it into the die-casting machine are some common lamp structures, such
as the radiator lamp body at the back of the lamp, the dough ring, and the lamp
body directly cast out of the aluminum alloy. It has the advantages of light
material, high strength and convenient processing, So many LED lighting and
lanterns will be made of aluminum alloy.
2. Zinc alloy
However, the cost of aluminum alloy is
relatively high, and some LED lighting with not so high demanding on material, they
can be used by zinc alloys and its quality is slightly heavier, but the cost is
relatively cheap. Therefore, products that are generally not particularly high
grade (used in mid-range lamps) may be made of zinc alloy as raw materials,
especially some small spare parts.
3. Steel plate
Steel is also a very commonly used material
in lamps, its application range is wide, much cheaper than aluminum, plasticity
is also very strong, so many need high-strength but do not need high-precision
die casting, generally will use steel plate.
4. Plastic
Plastic is just a general term, it includes
a lot of types, like the usual very common PC, PMMA, etc., it is a type of
polymer, the prototype is rice-like particles, as a raw material into the injection
molding machine, and then injection molded into the corresponding mold to press
out a variety of colors of the surface, cover, shell.
The black plastic is often used to do some
spare parts, covers, plates, etc. in the lamp, and even the overall LED lighting
is made of plastic (colored plastic is used less in the LED lighting).
5. Mirror aluminum
Mirror aluminum materials are unique to the
luminaire industry and are rarely used in other products.
The surface of this aluminum plate is as
smooth and reflective as the mirror, so it is used to make reflectors, such as
the reflector of the lamp plate, the reflective surface of the LED headlight,
etc. are made of mirror aluminum.
6. Sand surface aluminum
In addition to the smooth mirror aluminum
plate, there is also a type of rougher sand aluminum plate that is also used in
lamps and lanterns. The roughness of this kind of sand aluminum plate can be
light sand, can also be heavy sand, but also used as a reflector, its control
of light is not as precise as mirror aluminum. The characteristics of sand
surface aluminum are: the light is diffuse reflection to the surface in all
directions; Sand-faced aluminum is used in many cases where only astigmatism is
needed and no need for great precision.
