Aluminum Taking the Place of Steel
Font size:SMB
In the manufacturing sector, steel has been a popular material, Because steel is cheap and is used widely. However, steel has many drawbacks: while being processed, it is time-consuming and labor-consuming as well. Welding is a costly process. The main reason is that welders need to get training. In addition, processed steel often do not match perfectly, so it needs to be reprocessed.
Therefore, although the production costs of steel products are not high, the inflexible machining processes will lead to: shortened service life and double production cost. Also it is necessary to regularly carry out the anti-corrosion treatment for the steel material, and it requires a significant cost.
However, if aluminum profile is used, the situation is completely different: whether in manufacturing or in use, aluminum profile has a high degree of flexibility. Aluminum profile has unique characteristics, using aluminum profile will be more economical than using steel.
Moreover, the weight of aluminum profile is extremely light, but still it has excellent high strength and fixity. Aluminum profile processing is also more flexible than steel processing.
In addition, no corrosion protection measures are required, thus reducing maintenance costs. Aluminum profile has an investment value---different from steel, it can be reused without any problems at other locations.
So the use of aluminum profile is the trend of the times. Aluminum is taking the place of steel in many industrial sectors.
