On 24^th September, 2016, the 3^rd Shimen High School Alumnus Football Super League had a grand opening ceremony.

Shimen High School is an elite school with a history of more than a hundred years. The Shimen Super League was started by the 93rd Alumni in 2013, and has received enthusiastic participation and support by the various alumni ever since. Now it has become one of the hottest annual events in the city. 

The Shimen Super League has been held for three years in a roll. There are altogether 26 teams and players including graduates in 1984 to 2012. 

On that day, over 1000 schoolfellows came back to their Alma Mater and brushed up their memory of classmate friendship.

Principal of Shimen High School Mr. Weidong Li said, this event not only promoted the popularity of National Fitness, but also publicized the spirit of cooperation and effort.

The event of this year starts in September and continues until June of next year, covering 8 months in total.

Director of Nanhai Culture and Sports Bureau, Ms. Huiyan Liang expressed her hope that the friendship-and-sports-loving spirit of Shimen Super League will last and get inherited forever to promote the national support for sports activities.
